Geography

Located 20km/13mi south of Rome, our vineyards are in the Colli Albani (Alban hills), a land of volcanic origin, nearby two crater lakes: Albano and Nemi.

The hills contain volcanic tuff, a combination of ash and small rocks; our soil is rich in, magnesium and minerals excellent for grapes and winemaking.

Climate is mitigated the Alban hills and its proximity to the sea, all contributing to a
well-structured, fresh and sapid wine. Our wine is designated IGP Lazio.

Organic Vineyards

The Jacobini Estate is comprised of two individual hilly vineyards that always followed organic practices. We have organic farming certification and our wine is organic.
Each vineyard features a collection of Trebbiano Toscano, Malvasia di Candia and Malvasia del Lazio, all grape varieties native to Lazio.
For our Jacobini IGP Lazio Bianco, we choose only the best Trebbiano grapes from our vineyard Poggio del Cardinale (Cardinal’s Hill).
We harvest the grapes by hand.
